SpeedTouch 780WL persistent connections

This page describes how to make outgoing connections surive a temporary link change when using Ethernet over ATM.

By default the SpeedTouch is quite keen on messing things up if the Internet connection is temporarily lost due to line noise or similar. Apparently in an effort to support failover links etc, but with the SpeedTouch 780WL being a residental device for home use this doesn't make much sense. It's howver very easy to fix using the CLI interface.

:ip ifconfig intf=Internet linksensing=disabled

This will deactivate all the actions the SpeedTouch normally takes when the DSL link goes down, making it much more persistent to temporary link failures.
